Thunderbird no longer creates a new "To" entry after I enter the first "To"

In the past, after I entered an address in the "To" field of a message and pressed Enter, a new "To" entry was created. Currently my TB stopped doing that. I don't know if this was caused by me accidentally changing something, or an update to TB. Has anybody else experienced this? Does anybody know of a parameter that I can change to go back to the old way??? I have been unable to find a parameter that controls this.

    Thanks in advance....

The current TB uses a single-line for multiple TO entries. After <enter> or <tab> are pressed when the first entry is done, just start typing for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, entries. Makes it much easier to select/paste many different email addresses now that there's only 1 textentry field.

They've simplified the GUI while retaining functionality.

Thanks for the response. That did work after I restarted TB.
