new system for ubuntu 20.04

just to say hi. i have been here before, some time ago.

i have a new system arriving this week a chuwi mini tower. core i7 cpu, 256GB M2 ssd, 8GB ddr3 but will install another 8GB of ddr3 along with a 480GB 2.5" ssd.

will be using the 256GB for /boot and / (root) the 480GB for /home.

if i get any problems i will give you all a shout ...

Note that 20.04 and 20.04.1 install the 5.4.0 kernel, 20.04.2 the 5.8.0 kernel

If we download 20.04 from here

We get 20.04.2 and yes it does have the 5.8 kernel. Ubuntu 20.04.2 has standard LTS support until April 2025. It the same support life as Ubuntu 20.04 & 20.04.1.
