20.04.2 - Wired connection not detected

    Hi All

I’m a noob to Linux and just tried installing Ubuntu 20.04.2 on my PC.

The network cannot be detected on my newly installed Ubuntu 20.04.2. I tried using these commands to no help:

    sudo touch/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-managed-devices.conf

    user name and password prompted

    after that it returns:

    touch/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/10-globally-managed-devices.conf: command not found.

the ethernet port has a blinking light but i cannot connect at all.

    Please help out. Thanks!

Can you show us the output of the following commands:

    ifconfig

    sudo lshw -C network

    cat /etc/netplan/*

    cat /etc/network/interfaces

Could you also run the following command and post a screenshot?

    sudo nm-connection-editor

Couple typos. You forgot the slash before the asterisk, and it's "interfaces", not "interface".
