    Ubuntu 20.04 focal fossa release boot issue

    Hello. I had recently installed in my pc and after few months I faced the problem after updating all the softwares from software center. The system is not booting. It is only showing some text on black screen. The first sentence is firmware bug and the next one is kernel panic - not syncing : VFS unable to mount root ....

    Anyone please help.

    Who are we helping here? Is it amlan10 or sufyan0310? I will try to help amlan10. If my suggestions do not help sufyan0310 then sufyan0310 should open his own question to receive help specific for his problem.

    @amlan10

    We need more information about your hardware and the computer operating systems installed on it. Are you dual booting between Windows and Ubuntu? Do you choose an operating system from a Grub boot menu?

    Regards
    It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

    Can you use the grub menu to boot an older kernel? Does that work, as a temporary workaround?
