bad color on Kudu Pro display

on my Kudu Pro (purchased in 2014) the display shows "white" (e.g 0xfcfcfc or 0xffffff) as what looks to me as an ugly somewhat yellow color. but paper held up next to the screen looks real white to me. i suspect the monitor has the color temperature at too low a level (not matching my light) i can't find any way to set the color temperature to fix this. any ideas?

turning all the lights off, the white color value still looks yellowish to me.
