    last metadata expiration check error

    Hi Folks,

I am using fedora 28 for my linux class, and the problem I have is that when I try to install "Develoment Tools" I receive a message that says:

Last metadata expiration check: 0:10:24 ago on Sun XXXX.
Warning: Module or Group 'Develoment Tools' does not exist.
    Error: Nothing to do.

    How can I solve it?

    Thanks.

Re: last metadata expiration check error

Fedora 28 went end of life nearly two years ago, on 28 May 2019. I haven't used Fedora for years but my guess is that the repository for Fedora 28 is closed and that is the reason for the error message.

Be that as it may, this is ubuntuforums.org. We support the Ubuntu family of operating systems. The hint is in the name. These other OS sub-fora are for the convenience of forum members exploring other distros but are not the best place to get support for other distros. I suggest:

    1. You ask yourself, or your Linux class, why you are using a profoundly obsolete release of an operating system.
    2. If you really need help for Fedora, have a look at https://www.fedoraforum.org/ . Surprisingly (to me) they do have an end of life section: https://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum...Life)-Versions
