    Firefox and trackers

Anyone have a surefire way of removing trackers from Mozilla Firefox?

I use CCleaner in windows/firefox, but that will not work in mozilla.

I currently have all third party cookies blocked and using AVG (firefox plugin) to supposedly block all trackers, but seems they still get through. Or at least that's what ccleaner reports in windows with the same settings and plugin.

Who do you trust? You have to trust somebody. Right?

I would put more trust in the developers of Firefox when they talk about data protection then I would trust the people getting rich running social networking sites when they promise that our privacy is protected.

I have trust issues That's why I run Firefox or Chrome.

Thanks for that link. I had forgotten about Enhanced Tracking and will have to do a refresher read.

Did you try Preferences-Privacy & Security-Custom check all and then below that box check always do not track and below that check Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed

    1. Firefox should not have trackes. Where did you get that from?

    2. I wouldn't rely on AVG, as the company is known for both user tracking and selling user data.

    3. An AVG plugin in Firefox is a bad idea.

I normally don't go in for the lesser known browsers, but there claims got my curiosity so I loaded it up and went to my usual sites. Youtube, redit, imgur, some streaming/shopping sites and a couple of game sites. In 10 minutes I had acquired a 1000+ trackers

Yep, I have FF set up as described.

ALRIGHT! (I do my happy dance) Haven't tried bleachbit out yet, but I like what I read. Thanks
