    Lubuntu 20.04.2 Cursor Appearance

The install went easy on a HP laptop a couple of years old with an dual monitor.
    Works great, with one annoyance:
    - the mouse cursor does not show as 'busy' while a package is opening.

Suggestions welcomed on where I should have looked.

If you use a different cursor theme is it the same?

Thanks for the suggestion, but, being Lubuntu, there are not a lot of variations available.
The Mouse Setting dialogue box depicts what a busy cursor would look like, I just don't see it.
I will start reviewing Command Line tools.

For any interested observers, I started with Lubuntu at 17.10 because the machine was not up to full Ubuntu.
Current machine is capable, but Lubuntu has done everything I need, so I have never changed.

    Re: Lubuntu 20.04.2 Cursor Appearance

There is a bug in the openbox window manager regarding it's support for startup notifications, which propels the progress cursor (that's it's name). So it doesn't appear. Apparently, the bug is still there, even in Lubuntu with LXQt.

Sorry, I don't have a link to the bug - I just remember seeing it a year or so ago (maybe more).
