Every few months, someone asks the same question, so we all post nearly the same answers. The answer doesn't change from week to week or even year to year.

To learn, start by using the OS for everything.
If you want to STUDY and learn in the most efficient order, expect some dry, boring, reading. A certain amount of background is necessary to understand multi-user OSes.

Also, you've assumed that we know your goal. What a programmer needs to know is different from what an admin needs to know and both are different from what an end-user needs to know. What do you think is your interest? Be as specific as possible. Will this become a career? Desktop support? Fixing computers? Building large scale cloud deployments? For each, we'll have different recommendations.
