Please post the hardware specifications and Ubuntu release/version.
AMD Ryzen 5600X, RTX 3070, Ubuntu 20.04.
Supposedly you've installed the Nvidia drivers, haven't you?
Also please understand that any game optimized for DirectX will always run better with DirectX (Windows) than with the OpenGL's port (any other OS).
what is low FPS on that computer? i guess mine must be around 30FPS i dare not even to check. but i know sometimes i get a slideshow. maybe i should do like the pros and reduce to 800x600 resolution.
anyway my kid has Ryzen 7 and GTX 1650 and we haven't seen any major drops. the only thing is that lately it takes super long for game to load up to the menu. my potato takes 10 minutes, while his will take 2-3 minutes to get into the game
RTX3070 is still very new and it is possible that nvidia doesn't have its linux drivers optimised well yet. maybe check some other games and see if there is any FPS drops.
also disable any cheats you might be running in the background.
Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
