Hi All,

As I'm already considering on moving back to Ubuntu or PopOS, I'm getting all my files ready from my legacy MacBook Pro. They're all getting backed up into a 2TB external HD for now so they can still be accessible even if my MBP decides to finally ship off to the great cloud in the sky.

Which format do I export the photos as, XMP or JPEG? I want the photos to retain as much detail and quality as possible. I forget now, if I plug in my iPhone into a ubuntu or PopOS system, can the photos be extracted by the system like getting them from a camera?

I also have music files from the music I bought with them, should I just download the files as is from their respective directories?

I want to migrate as much data as possible before my MBP finally goes kaputt.

Thanks in advance!
