Getting Jedi Knight to completely work in wine

    Hi All,
I have Linux Lite installed in a T430 Lenovo
I also have Jedi Knight on CD.
    I've installed from wine

The initial video showing the introduction scene functions fine.
However as soon as it transitions from that to the actual game - it fails.

If anyone feels like they can help walk me through fixing this - I am happy to provide further details and would appreciate the help.

    Sincere thanks!

Which Jedi Knight? There is so many of them.

you can use OpenJK or OpenJA opensource engines for some jedi knight games. in openJK there is a bug and you might need to setup keys and resolution in config file rather than in game.
Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
Full disk backup (newer kernel -> suitable for newer PC): Clonezilla
User friendly full disk backup: Rescuezilla

    Thank you!
It is Star Wars - Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II

I'm not familiar with open JK or open JA
Where would I search for them?

Oh I do see them on Github

But I'm not sure they apply to my game after all.

I suspect they are explicitly for Jedi Academy (JA) and Jedi Outcast (JO)

    I might be OOL
If so that's ok - we gave it the college try :-]

There's a Lutris runner for the Steam and GOG versions, which may or may not help with your retail cd version. I've not tried it.
