Wireless Keyboard to 2.4 Ghz USB adapter

I have a home wireless mesh network, and a wireless keyboard that I want to connect only to a specific Ubuntu 20.04 system on my network. The keyboard vendor provides a 2.4 Mhz USB wireless adapter for this purpose. How can I set up and pair with the keyboard thru the USB adapter specifically, and not go thru the wireless SSIDs on my mesh network?

Normally the dongle and wireless keyboard/mouse are paired out of the box.
The protocol used is proprietary and has nothing to do with WIFI or Bluetooth.
    AFAIK it is unidirectional .
Such keyboards and mouse are not detected by Bluetooth software.

I know some logitech devices made in the past used bluetooth even though they had a dongle and were paired out of the box as there was software for Windows to fix the pairing if someone figured out how to make the device discoverable on bluetooth and pair to a different device
