Angry SSD with SATAFIRM S11 shows up mounted as proc

So I had a Gigabyte SSD part of an LVM, it is the second SSD.

It is only four months old and still under warranty.

It suddenly showed up as SATAFIRM S11.

    The LVM won't boot.

However I am able to mount the drive under another OS.

It shows up as proc with 3662 numbered folders followed by some named folders like acpi bus driver (see attached png)

The drive itself probably has a phison controller.

How do I go about getting the ssd id and searching for a way to either update the firmware (will this erase the data?), or perhaps I need to just rename the drive?

Alternative I guess I could clone the data onto a working ssd but then how to go about resurrecting the LVM?
