    Will an ideapad support ubuntu?

I have a Lenovo ideapad 110s. It has wifi. Will this computer be able to support ubuntu? I want to wipe out windows and replace with ubuntu. Also, will I still have wifi if I do this? Here are the specs.

    Thanks

Can you use ethernet or use USB tethering to a smart phone? We don't know what will or won't work until you boot an ISO, you can actually play around in Ubuntu without installing it to the HDD

I have an ethernet adapter that I can use through a USB port, but how would I know if my computer will still have wifi if I install ubuntu?

I use a Lenovo 320-15 iap laptop. I have a 1.1 ghz processor and 8 gb ram. I run a 40 inch TV as a second monitor. I use Lubuntu and have no problem with wifi, performance, etc. Because of the ram, I think a lighter version of 'buntu would be best( Lubuntu was may choice, but there are others). Run with a live usb for a bit before commiting, to make sure all works properly, and if you have never used a linux system, I would suggest dual boot untill you decide if it is right for you. Best of luck to you and welcome to linux. Keep in mind, the forums are here to help if you need it.
I'm a firm believer that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

Yes, I've used ubuntu before. It's installed on my desktop, but it's in storage. Maybe I'll just go dig out my desktop and leave this ideapad alone. I don't want to mess up anything.

    Thanks.

Can you get into Control Panel on Windows and get me the model of the wifi and possibly hardware ID?
https://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID This shows how to find the hardware ID in Windows, just find the one for the wifi instead of the graphics

A relatively low end CPU such a that celeron and only 2G of ram suggests that you will not get Ubuntu to run very well; it has higher resource requirements than that machine can provide.

If you want to try it there is nothing yo stop you downloading and creating a live USB but I think you will undoubtedly be somewhat frustrated by the lack of speed than you can manage.
Using Lubuntu https://lubuntu.me/downloads/ or even Xubuntu https://xubuntu.org/download would be more likely to run sensibly, and in both cases I would recommend you try the 20.04 version, not 20.10 which has only 6 months support remaining.
