[20.04] Sound through Headphones and Desktop

Hi All

I'm noticing that when I plug my headphones in now, sound is being played though both my headphones and desktop computer. When inserting the jack, I am being prompted and the sound icon changes to headphones. As a workaround, I am having to load alsamixer each time and then change "Auto-Mut" to enabled. Is it possible to set this so I don't have to change this each time?

Are you asking whether is possible to auto-mute with auto-mute disabled?
No, it isn't.

Previously, inserting the headphone jack would automatically mute sound from the desktop and play through the headphones. Now when I insert the jack, I'm having to enable auto-mute each time to achieve this. Would just like to set an option to do this automatically each time (if possible).
