Error: failure reading sector 0x100800 from hd0

When I turn on my pc, I get this message in a black screen.
Then a message and some sort of commands screen, GRUB.
I've been researching online and I think it might be a problem with the hard drive.
I watched a video that recommends switching the BIOS from UEFI to legacy to fix this, but in my BIOS I don't seem to have that options.
Any suggstions on how to fix this? Is the hard drvew dead? I doubt it, since is not that old, but I guess it can happen.

switching the BIOS from UEFI to legacy to fix this
is ridiculous advice. Feel free to post the link so it can be downvoted to oblivion.

"Failure reading sector..." is a symptom of a drive problem and it may not be fixable.
Try booting a live session and use Disks > SMART tests (3 dots menu).
