VLC no sound on 20.04

I can't get VLC to give sound on 20.04

How can I fix this?

Does 20.04 automatically install the restricted extra codecs (lame, ect.) where you might live?

sudo apt install (k)ubuntu-restricted-extras

Did you check to see if all the audio settings were turned where you can hear them?

Maybe you need to erase and then reinstall VLC again if those two suggestions don't work.
