I'm using Lubuntu 18.04 LTS (I've been using it/Linux as my primary OS for about 2-3 years IIRC) and I'm receiving the message asking me if I want to upgrade to 20.04 LTS. I've had a quick poke around with the new version with a VM so from that perspective I'm ok with going ahead with the upgrade, but I'd like to know what kind of prep people would recommend I do before telling it to do the upgrade.
I have a Intel Haswell system with an AMD R9 380X graphics card, UEFI enabled but secure boot off. I didn't have any issues with 18.04 recognising the hardware. Dual-booting with Win10 (just for gaming), operating systems are on different SSDs plus a data HDD formatted as NTFS, and grub handling the boot management. I use Virtualbox for virtual machine usage, Wine for a single win32 app, Veracrypt, and other software that came with Lubuntu such as LibreOffice, Thunderbird, Firefox and Chromium. I back up my personal data and will do so immediately before the upgrade.
Any suggestions for any other prep I should do first? I'll wait for a day spare so if it goes titsup I have a bit of time to pick up the pieces.
