Please note the Ubuntu Forums Rules, in particular:

Politics: This topic has caused serious problems in the past, and as such is subject to tight control. Discussion of the politics of open source is permissible within the Ubuntu, Linux and OS Chat forum. No other political posting is permitted in any form in any other area of the forum.
By "discussion of the politics of open source", we mean discussion of the opinions of different groups of people involved in open source -- say, discussing why some people think X is best while others say Wayland is (so long as it does not get uncivil).

This thread not in the right area to begin with. Further, it is geared towards the broader realm of politics in government and public discourse. As such, it is now closed.
Please read The Forum Rules and The Forum Posting Guidelines

A thing discovered and kept to oneself must be discovered time and again by others. A thing discovered and shared with others need be discovered only the once.
This universe is crazy. I'm going back to my own.
