Thread moved to Ubuntu, Linux and OS Chat for a more appropriate fit.
Linux Foundation and Linux Academy have different class material at different rates. Red Hat classes are remarkable as well. Of course nothing beats good old fashion reading.
I'm the Sisyphus in security engineering.
Read about 14.04 ESM and Puppet inside of Docker Containers.
What do you want to learn? Make a list. Then work through that list. If you don't know, find the certification list for different Linux tests and work through those, in order.
But really, nothing will teach like doing things you have a real interest in accomplishing, provided you don't overstep your skill level too far. Then it will just be frustrating.
http://linuxcommand.org/tlcl.php has chapters which cover basic materials with exercises at the end of each chapter for solidify knowledge.
Of course, if you don't plan to be an admin, then much of this will be boring. Programmers need different skills. Power-users need different skills. The goal should guide where you spend time, after the basics are well understood. For example, don't skill leaning Unix permissions. Those apply to all users.
Are you studying for a specific certification?
