    ีิubuntu 20.04 fails to boot

I have an issue yesterday after attempting to install ElasticSearch of different versions. The laptop screen was blacked out and now I can't reboot it. I have prepared a usb with ubuntu 20.04. I don't know how to access the terminal before booting either. The GRUB terminal does not seem to accept advanced commands either. Please help!

Obviously, you can't since the terminal is software installed on the operating system. What happens when you try to boot the Ubuntu 20.04 USB? Grub is a bootloader only and does have very limited commands. You need to boot the Ubuntu from usb.

Not sure why you would try installing multiple versions of the same software. You might give more details on the steps you took. Is the link below the software you tried to install?

Yes, that was the link. It automatically updates to version 7.10 from 7.8 and I did try to purge the installation of 7.10 and delete some files that might corrupt the installation.

I will try to boot from usb again tomorrow and provide some details.
