System sound stopped on ubuntu studio

My system sound on Ubuntu Studio 20 stopped working suddenly.
I still have sound through my audio interface but the sound through the display monitor I'm using has stopped.
This is a dual boot computer with Ubuntu 18. The sound through the monitor is working fine in the 18 installation.
Ubuntu Studio doesn't have the same system sound interface as Ubuntu so I can't find a way to check the settings.

You haven't been precise about which version you are using.

Ubuntu Studio 20.04 uses XFCE
Ubuntu Studio 20.10 uses Plasma

Settings will be in different places depending on the interface in use.
