    Exclamation Weird suspend issue

Ever since installing Ubuntu on this machine, back in the days of Focal Fossa, I've had a weird issue.
I can start it up normally, login, and everything's fine.
BUT, if I start it up normally, and tend to other chores before logging in, I'll come back to find
Ubuntu in a hibernation/suspend situation, that I can't get it out of, without starting Ubuntu again.
Worked without issue under Windows 7.

The machine is a Dell Dimension 5100 (yes, I know it's old, but it works)
    The specs are...
