veracrypt / truecrypt to install on LINUX MINT 19.3 64-bit.

TheTRUEC tar gz will NOT run at all.
Veracypt is installed but has problems loading & mounting




Areubuntu users having the same problem ?

Ubuntu people use dm-crypt and LUKS for encrypted file systems.

Full partitions, virtual disks, block devices, whatever you like, since on Unix systems, everything is a file.
There is no encrypt in place or going back short of wiping the "file" or file system or partition. If you forget the way to access, there isn't any real hack and nobody else magically as the keys/passphrase.

I've been using Veracrypt for years with no issues. I have not yet installed it on anything newer than Xubuntu 18.04, which is what is on my desktop.
