Out of curiosity I searched this topic.
Seems to be a ridiculous set of rules.

I'd run Windows in a VirtualBox VM for this.

Running on a desktop or laptop? Shared machine? The reason I ask is would it be practical to swap hard drives? Or run Windows and this software off an external drive? I've never tried that, running Windows off an external drive might be really slow depending on connections. I know that removing the hard drive on really thin laptops is impractical.

Likely impossible unless the user has a license other than "home" so they can use the Windows To Go feature. Anyway impractical and not designed for this purpose.

Really thin laptops don't have HDDs or SSDs. They have soldered eMMCs that obviously can't be swapped.
