I'm currently assembling my latest build. I have two SSDs (burner OS) configure raid0 with mdadm (md0), then add to VG, then partition out multiple \'s, \home, excetera.
I was hoping someone with strong skills would help me walkthrough the process.

I wouldn't use both mdadm and LVM. LVM can do both, but I have no idea how and wouldn't presume to provide a walkthru.
It is a new OS - you have nothing to lose. Try a few different configs.
