I now have a gnote that I can sync. I figured to use google one to store the sync data. I checked and was told that to do that I would have to setup google as an online account. To do that I had to goto online accounts via activities. Once I got there I clicked on google I was asked to login again to connect with gnome. I then entered my login for gnome but found that I was really logging into gmail. Anyway, I logged into google and then was told that it wanted to goto gnome and this would give gnome full authority to do, basically, any damn thing it wanted on my system.

I suspect my concern isn't valid and gnome already has all that authority but, just in case. I stopped at that point to ask whether this is really a good idea or not. I am a bit paranoid (like, I think, most others) and am wondering.............

I would be interested in any thoughts on this one.

Thank you................
