We already know it's hirsute
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/
We just don't currently know the animal (though the definition of hirsute tells us it's a hairy animal of some sort)
Not a support request. Thread moved to Ubuntu, Linux and OS Chat.

How does Ubuntu come up with these names?
As I remember it, Mark Shuttleworth used to come up with the names (eg. https://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/1521 & 18.10/cosmic cuttlefish), announcing them in a well written & usually education/amusing blog post.
The 20.10 (groovy gorilla) name wasn't from Mark, it was suggested by Martin Wimpress to Mark (as far as I recall) and Mark said yep. Martin spoke about that on a podcast (likely Ubuntu Podcast (UK)).
I'd guess we'll either end up with "hamster" or "hare". Though there are a few rather "hirsute humans" about using Linux, myself being one of them. Can't see too many more options listed --here-- for "h" that match "hirsute" (maybe the husky
)
