I have a aspire 5315 2007 version but cannot get it to boot in ubuntu

Is it not powering on or is it not booting? If it is powering on, is it giving any kind of error?

I could not get my 2006 Toshiba to boot the Ubuntu 20.04 installer. I had installed 16.04 before.
But had to install server version and gui server versions did not work either. Older text based one did. And then installed lightweight desktop.

You should be using a lighter weight version/flavor.
