Just a concept... Windows has or more like had (while it still is partially functional it no longer seems properly usable) a program called KEOW (Kernel Emulatior on Windows) for running Linux on Windows - an alternate (or similar?) approach than what CoLinux did. So you may be wondering Why I am talking about Windows?

Well on the previous Aqua on Linux thread people were talking about how difficult it would be to modify their linux kernel or whatever, and we do have virtualization these days to run MacOS inside a virtual machine, but what about not modifying the kernel you have but instead making an abi-compatible kernel emulation layer?... (I kinda like the idea of doing that for Android too - in essence, like *nix Subsystems - which may turn out to be somewhat similar to containers, just with an emulator that launches the system?) ...

What do you think? ...
