USB Ports Lose Power Until Restart

    Hi!

For some reason, the USB ports work for a few days (maybe about a week), and then they don't supply power anymore. The headphone jack and HDMI cord still work, but the USB ports stop working until I restart the computer.

How should I go about troubleshooting this?

    Thanks! Have a great day!

First list your computer specs and what is connected to USB ports. What do you mean by losing power, is connection seem lost or are you using something like a fan or light? This link should give some commands so you and post output here. https://linuxhint.com/list-usb-devices-linux/

Thanks for the list! The problem isn't happening now, so the commands work as expected, but if it occurs again, I can let you know.

And the connection is lost. The mouse and keyboard aren't receiving power from the USB ports, so they don't work until restarting.

In such cases login via SSH can be useful.

I would start by updating the motherboard's firmware (BIOS or UEFI).
This doesn't seem to be software/OS related.
