Try
Code:
192.168.178.26:/data/Photos /mnt/photos nfs _netdev 0 0
Also, other errors in the fstab file could be breaking this line.
The options that I use for NFS mounts via autofs are "proto=tcp,intr,rw,async"
If I used the fstab, the line would be this:
Code:
istar:/d/D1 /d/D1 nfs proto=tcp,intr,rw,async 0 0
Let me test that. After disabling autofs, added that line,
Ran, sudo systemctl daemon-reload to get the fstab reloaded by systemd, and did a sudo mount -a
Everything expected is in /d/D1. istar is only known through DNS. The client machine /etc/hosts only has 2 lines (I don't use IPv6). Anyway, the DNS lookup for istar has to work before the NFS mount can be attempted.
So, it works. Let me try _netdev in the fstab from a seldom used client machine (so it can be rebooted).
Code:
$ dft
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vgubuntu--mate-root ext4 17G 9.2G 6.7G 58% /
/dev/mapper/vgubuntu--mate-home ext4 12G 6.0G 5.2G 54% /home
/dev/vda1 vfat 511M 7.1M 504M 2% /boot/efi
istar:/d/D1 nfs4 3.5T 3.5T 25G 100% /d/D1
After reboot, there it is. The fstab on that system is:
Code:
UUID=9CE4-930A /boot/efi vfat utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1
/dev/vgubuntu-mate/root / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/vgubuntu-mate/home /home ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/vgubuntu-mate/swap_1 none swap sw 0 0
istar:/d/D1 /d/D1 nfs _netdev,proto=tcp,intr,rw,async 0 0
Hope this is helpful. If it doesn't work at your place, I'd suggest checking the system logs and dmesg for problems.
One more thing, this may be useful. The options that were applied by that fstab line:
Code:
$ mount |grep D1
istar:/d/D1 on /d/D1 type nfs4 (rw,relatime,vers=4.2,rsize=1048576,wsize=1048576,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,clientaddr=172.22.22.3,local_lock=none,addr=172.22.22.20,_netdev)
