Question Kernel conversion on Ubuntu 20.04 vanilla

I have learnt that the Linux kernel is contained in the [vm]linu(x or z) file. And x as vmlinux means uncompressed kernel, while z (vmlinuz) means gunzip-compressed. SO, I have decided to change my kernel file from vmlinuz to vmlinux to shorten boot time, how should I do this?
