5.4.0-48-generic update limited me to one screen GT 730

Ubuntu 20.04; 64 bit; desktop. Just did a normal kernel update and now I only have one screen. I normally run 3. I tried changing to a different driver then back (reboot in between) but no result. Running the recommended nvidia-driver-440. Also, I cannot get into the X server settings tool. It opens, but is blank.

isn't the latest driver for GT 730 3.90? as it moved to legacy support. but not all chips are made the same: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/...e-gt-730/70543

Only for the Fermi-based version. If the OP was using 440.x successfully before the kernel update, this is unlikely to be an issue.

Try running:

cd ~/
sudo nvidia-bug-report.sh

Attach resulting file (~/nvidia-bug-report.log.gz)

I can send the log output later to solve our curiosities but I just stopped by the house and it was working properly.

The logs probably wouldn't be helpful if the system is not exhibiting the issue.
