    Flashing screen

When I wake my computer from a normal sleep mode or from a Suspend to RAM, I'm getting short screen flashes. The screen is dark for about 4 seconds, shows the desktop for a quarter second, and repeats about 10 times before resuming normal operation. I have a Dell desktop, and am using Kubuntu. Any ideas?

Without information about the hardware, namely graphics and type of monitor and connection, no idea.
    With that information, perhaps.

Just realized that the flashing corresponds with the flashing of the power button on the screen. It's a Samsung SyncMaster 206bw.
