First Cup of Ubuntu
Everyone, I was in the process of setting up my dual boot mac os x/ Ubuntu 20.04. My hard drive got completely wiped when I tried setting up my partitions. Now I'm very limited to what all I can do, but long story short, I can't even load mac os x or Ubuntu. One of the error messages says "/init: line 49: can't open /dev/sr0: no medium found"

sr0 is the optical disk. use a flash "try ubuntu" drive - every ubuntu family desktop installation ISO should work this way. Do you have an optical drive?
