Changed themes with Gnome-tweaks... can't restart PC!!

    Hi everyone.
I just installed new icons, cursors, and wanted to apply them using gnome-tweaks, which I did, but no change was seen. so I restarted my computer, but now all I get is a grayish screen with the cursor, and nothing else, every time I restart the computer.
    what have I done?
please help me. I have Ubuntu 18.04 (Linux lite)

Linux Lite has XFCE, not Gnome. Gnome Tweaks is tool exclusively for the Gnome DE. I suggest you start researching how to change themes in the DE you're actually using.

this last post is hard to understand (and this is an understatement)...

Gnome Tweaks as a default to what? Where? How? Not even in the standard Ubuntu desktop (Gnome) you have Gnome Tweaks installed by default.
Why would any sane person want to remove the actual DE?

For specific distro stuf please ask at that distro's online resources.
