    thanks - the autoremove and autoclean commands cleared up a fair bit of dead wood (code)
    That just cleaned a little storage, not anything related to being slow or using RAM.

    With all the snap packages on the system, there may be 3 copies of each. To see all the snap packages, including the old, unused, versions, run:

    snap list --all
    Any of those with 'disabled' on the line are excess, unneeded, unused, just old versions. You can remove them. Snap uses a separate package management solution, outside APT, unfortunately. You can do this manually or use a little script to make it easier.
