Problems with CD with mp3s playing in car

I am having a problem writing mp3s to CDs that will play in my car CD player. (It is mp3 capable.)

I have used Verbatim CD-RWs successfully in the past to write mp3s that play in my car.

I have used Brasero,XfBurn, and K3B.

I have also tried writing at the lowest speed.

I also tried using CD-R discs.

Is there anything else I can try?

One possibility is that you are burning an audio CD and not a data CD. For an mp3 CD, be sure you burn it as a Data CD.

Yes, a possibility but extremely unlikely.
Car stereos with CD player typically support CD-Audio and some will also support a data CD with MP3 files on it but that not a given unlike the CD-Audio support.

Either the OP's device doesn't support MP3s on a CD or they must be doing something very wrong now or, at least, using usupported formats, too high bitrates or not actually MP3 files.

OP does say his player is mp3 capable. Mine is too. But, that said, it most likely would support audio CDs as well.

You may want to try removing any art work embedded in the mp3 file, if it has any. I found that some mp3 players (probably the older ones and in car players) do not play mp3 files containing art work. You would need to use a mp3 file editor to do this. Just a thought.
