not able to connect to the internet with broadband cable kubuntu 20.04

I was previously using ubuntu 18.04 as I could not upgrade to 20.04 because of low RAM, I installed Kubuntu 20.04 instead. Now previously I was able to connect to the internet by inserting the broadband cable directly into the laptop without doing anything but now I am not able to connect to the internet through cable in Kubuntu 20.04, with notifiaction like IP configuration unavailable, enp48s0 etc I tried reinstalling network manager. I tried the methods https://askubuntu.com/questions/8828...ce-not-managed without any success. Kindly help.

Hook up the ethernet cable and boot the machine using your installation medium. Then click on "Try w/o installing" and see if the internet works.

If it worked in 18.04, then it should still work. Possibly you had an error on install or you ethernet card died.
