    Display compatibility

Hello, I'm fairly new to Ubuntu and I'm planning to get a new laptop. Are the following resolutions compatible with 20.04LTS?

    1920x1200 (16:10)

    3840x2400 (16:10)

3840x2160 (This one would be OLED)

Plus, 20.04LTS has touch compatibility without problems right?

    Thanks in advance

I can' answer your questions -- and based on what you have provided, no one can!

Screen resolution is not based on the Linux distro version; instead, it is based on the hardware in the laptop, what resolutions that supports, and the availability of Linux drivers for that hardware.

Same with a touch screen -- once again, depends on the availability of Linux drivers for that laptop.

You would need to provide folks here the specific make and model of the laptop and find out everything you can about its specifications.

Once you provide that information, folks here might be able to answer your questions.
Ubuntu 19.10 Mate, Mint 19.2 Mate; MS Win10 Pro.
Will not respond to PM requests for support -- use the forums.

    Re: Display compatibility

    Hello,

Thanks a lot for your reply!

OK, the first two 16:10 aspect ratio ones are the new Dell XPS 15 9500, 1920x1200 (16:10) and 3840x2400 (16:10)

Second one is OLED and is from an OEM brand (3840x2160), but I think the manufacturer is Tongfang.
