    RAID 5 Tuning

    Hello!

Several years ago I used a very handy script located at: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread....1916607&page=3 to tune my RAID 5 mdadm volumes for maximum performance.

I'm using Debian 9 and sadly the script has stopped working. It gets as far as: "step 1/4: NOW your current value of /sys/block/md1/md/stripe_cache_size is 64" and then ABORTS. I've done general google searches for the best ways to tweak RAID 5 performance but nothing that comes close to what that handy script for all these years and I was wondering if someone who knows a lot more about scripting than me might be willing to take a look and give opinions on if it could be modified for 2020?
