Life ubuntu mate 20.04

I have burned the new DVD for linux for education mate edition based on ubuntu 20.04 twice

I can't get it to boot or run a live environment. Since I am running xubuntu 20.04 OK what could be the problem? I want to set up several computers for a non profit childrens science group running life. It comes up sometime with the life splash screen and sometimes just won't boot from the DVD at all. Xubuntu 20.04 also boots Ok from DVD live or to install. Alternatively is there a way to install the life from within xubuntu then deleting the xubuntu?

How have you burned the DVD and why aren't you using an USB stick? Much faster and reusable.

It is an ancient acer aspire and doesn't allow booting from USB

So, how did you burn the DVD?

And if so ancient that it can't boot from USB, are you sure it's 64-bit?

yes and I have 64 bit xubuntu 20.04 installed on it from a DVD

yes I know it is 64 bit and as I said I can install xubuntu on it 20.04 64 bit with no problem and I made 2 dvds neither will install. It comes up with the life splash screen and sits a while then goes to crazy graphics lines and colors.The processor is 4400+ amd athlon 64 x2 processor.4GB ram. Date of computer 2007
