Pop-up Dialogs in the latest Ubuntu

I just want to get an idea of how people feel about this.

This pops up about 4 times a day for me, and since I do software development a lot and it is really annoying to be in the middle of typing something and then this window just hijacks the focus from me. Yes it is a minor inconvenience, but it interrupts my thought and just the general work flow.

I love Ubuntu, and linux in general, but designing towards this pop-up dialog focus stealing approach Microsoft takes in Windows will drive me crazy. This should be a little notification at the top of the screen - no a focus hijacking surprise.

Anyways, end rant. Let me know what you think.

Yeah, I am aware it is easy to work around.

But I am talking with respect to the direction the UI seems to be going in general. I think this should be avoided from the start.

Then again, I am sure I could find probably a UI system I like better. Anyways, I am just ranting I guess
