Why is my computer so slow after Lubuntu 20.04 install?

I used Lubuntu 18.04 up until a couple of months ago, when I freshly installed Lubuntu 20.04. I notice it is considerably slower. For example, start up takes ages after logging in:

    Code:
    robert@roberts-work-laptop:~$ systemd-analyze
    Startup finished in 20.390s (firmware) + 13.662s (loader) + 8.362s (kernel) + 1min 3.112s (userspace) = 1min 45.528s
    graphical.target reached after 1min 3.088s in userspace
    robert@roberts-work-laptop:~$
Also, other applications like LibreOffice take an age (up to a minute) to open.

    Here are my specs:

Somebody on another thread of more general discussion suggested that since my specs should be able to handle the Lxqt desktop "something must be happening" in the background that could potentially be resolved. Any ideas?

Figure out what is making it take so long to boot:
    Code:
    systemd-analyze blame

Here is today's. Looks like docker is a big contributor. In that case I'll have to live with it...

    Code:
    robert@roberts-work-laptop:~$ systemd-analyze

Re: Why is my computer so slow after Lubuntu 20.04 install?

Ah, so it looks like everything is taking longer to start than it should.
I don't know where I'd look next. Maybe look at SMART info on hard disk (if applicable), or skim through dmesg.
