Network drops on Ubuntu 20.04

I recently installed Ubuntu 20.04 on an external HDD.

the network connection drops after some time & i get a message "Activation of Network Connection Failed"

I am new to Ubuntu environment.

Where do i start looking for errors.

I am facing the same issue. Are you using a Wifi dongle or Ethernet ?

/var/log/syslog might be a good place to look at.

I am having the same issue. my ethernet drops. If i goto Wired Settings and turn it off and on, it works for a while but drops again. Happens on both desktop and laptop after installing Ubuntu 20.04. Happens less on Desktop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
