Turn Off Screen

I've tried every possible iteration of dpms and every possible acpi setting, but can't, for the life of me, turn off the screen on my ancient Dell Latitude, running 20.04 server.

If you want the screen to stay on for a while you might need to use different value than 0. I have never used this parameter, I just found it in google search with your query.
