After upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04, text and icons in the top bar shifted

    Hi,

I have just upgraded my Dell XPS 13 (2013) from 19.10 to 20.04. The system is generally working fine, except that I have a little annoying problem about the top bar. The icons and the text in the top bar appear shifted down, partially out of the bottom boundary of the top bar. When a window is maximised, the icons and text overlap the maximised window. I have attached a screenshot to give a clear picture! The display in general does not show any other problems. There is only this anomaly in the top bar. Can anyone think of a reason why this may be happening? Any suggestions for a fix?

BTW, I have tried disabling extensions and rebooting (multiple times). It did not help.

Let me know if there is any information I can provide to help diagnose.

    Thanks,
    tuuk

I seemed to have solved my problem using the following post:

The problem might have been arising from using "Paper" icon theme, which might have a compatibility issue with Gnome 3.36.
