What version 20.04 have I downloaded

I downloaded an iso of 20.04. I tested it on my windows 10 laptop and noticed that there was a folder named "TRASH" In my other computer it is "Rubbish Bin"

Do I need to download a UK version of the ISO or are they all the same. If I do where do I download the correct ISO

    Thanks

The localisations are based on which language you've got it set to. You'll get different results if you tell it you're British, or tell it you're American, or tell it you're French, or whatever.

Re: What version 20.04 have I downloaded

I have a new problem. Just before I downloaded the ISO I spotted a message telling me there was some upgrades for my laptops 20.04. I installed them and it then said I had to reboot to enjoy the upgrades. I did so but my wifi ceased working and it tells me there is no wifi adaptor. As I have a dual boot system I closed down the laptop and booted up windows 10. Wifi works fine with the windows 10 partition so I know now this is a ubuntu software upgrade issue, How do I fix it?

Please post a new thread at Networking & Wireless and, of course, read this first: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=370108

Re: What version 20.04 have I downloaded

The reason I asked the original question was because when I was upgrading from 18.04 to 19.04 I had without realising it burned a US ISO. It installed on my hard drive OK but no matter what I tried I could never get it to recognise my wifi. It didnt even give me the option during the install process to connect. I bought a Ubuntu magazine with a UK version of 19.04 which solved the problem. However the one for 20.04 ISO which I downloaded and simply tested from the DVD did connect without any problems. So hopefully if I decide to install it I wont have a repeat of the 19.04 problems

There's no US or UK ISOs or any other locale for that matter.

It's often difficult to understand the real question. So there are no problems with the 20.04 iso but why are you asking advice how to connect the 19.04 version that you upgraded and didn't work, while a DVD you bought does work and a 20.04 version also works?

Re: What version 20.04 have I downloaded

OK I think you misunderstood my problem probably my fault for not expressing it more clearly. The ISO I downloaded originally for the time I was first using Ubuntu 19.04 installed what I now realise was a USA version. This was the one I could not get to connect to the internet. The magazine I subsequently bought installed a UK version. This experience made me wary when I noticed the trashcan in the non installed version of 20.04 ISO I downloaded. I need not have worried as when I did take the plunge and install from it the version had the "rubbish bin" so I knew it was a UK version of 20.04 that it installed. The thing I hated about Windoze was how it told you yuo needed updates so you left your computer thrashing away overnight then in the morning when you went to use it it began by installing them. It felt like it spent more time doing the updates than I did using it to do what I wanted to do.

There is no UK or US version. Just one version. It it can, the installer will use the network to try and figure out its location though. When I install here in the UK, it guesses London if it has network access, but defaults to US if I don't give it a WiFi password.
